Tessmer Law Firm, P.L.L.C. is owned and operated by Heather Clement Tessmer, attorney at law. She has over 18 years of experience practicing law. Heather graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School and began her career as an attorney in 1999. In 2001 she relocated with her family to San Angelo, Texas, where she opened her own office. In 2005, Heather moved back to the San Antonio area, opening her first office in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. Since 2005, Tessmer Law Firm has been continuously growing and is now headquartered at the Lincoln Center building in San Antonio, Texas.
We have evolved into a “full-service” firm – assisting clients through every facet of legal representation in family law, estate planning, and personal injury cases.
Heather Clement Tessmer began her legal career in 1999 after graduating from St. Mary’s University School of Law. In 2001, Heather opened her own office and began accepting cases from a diverse clientele. In January of 2010, the office evolved into Tessmer Law Firm, PLLC. Heather continues to offer quality legal services to San Antonio and the surrounding Hill Country.

Casey Lee joined Tessmer Law Firm, PLLC, as an associate attorney in May 2018. Casey earned her law degree in 2015 from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC. Upon graduation, Casey served for two years as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Fern Flanagan Saddler, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia’s Domestic Violence Division.
While in law school, Casey was the Senior Student Articles Editor of the legal periodical, The Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy. At graduation, Casey received the Clinical Legal Education Association Outstanding Clinical Student Award. Casey is also a proud alumna of College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
After graduating from college in 2010, Casey joined Teach For America and spent two years teaching second grade and then kindergarten in a low-income community in Dallas, Texas. Casey’s time in Teach For America is what inspired her to pursue a legal career specializing in Family Law.
Casey is a native Texan and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Casey is the current Co-Chair of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association Luncheons Committee. Casey has also been selected to be a member of the 2019 Bexar County Women’s Bar Foundation LEAD Academy Class.

Brittany Hinojosa is an Associate Attorney at Tessmer Law Firm and is originally from Mission, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley. Brittany received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Shortly after graduation, she began working at Tessmer Law Firm as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Certified Paralegal.
After a couple of years, Brittany moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, to attend Western New England University School of Law, where she received a Juris Doctor degree. Brittany was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2016 and rejoined our team in 2017.

As the only Board Certified Family Law Paralegal in our office, Heidi oversees and assists the other three Paralegals at Tessmer Law Firm. As the COO she also plans, directs, and oversees our company’s operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals. She helps organize and execute long-term and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgment, vision, management, and leadership.
She likes to say that her main job description is, and always will be, “Whatever makes Heather Tessmers’ life easier, that is what she does!” She knows that it sounds cliché, but she is in this profession because she enjoys helping people. She says, “When you hire our law firm it is typically because you are going through one of the most traumatic and upsetting times in your life. You are either having trouble in your marriage or with your children. You are unhappy or your spouse has decided he or she no longer loves you and doesn’t want to be married to you anymore. That is devastating. I want to be there for our clients and help them through that. I want them to know that it isn’t the end of the world. That they are still amazing people and they still have plenty of life to live.”
Her favorite quote is, “Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”
When Heidi is not working, she loves to read, go to the movies, workout, enjoy time with her three daughters and her two grandchildren.

Soñia actively supports the Attorneys and assists the clients in keeping them informed and acting as their liaison between the clients and the Attorneys. Sonia’s husband inspires her every day. He reminds her to be happy to be alive and enjoy every day like it’s your last.

When she’s not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and grandkids and my many pets. She has 2 parrots, 5 dogs, 1 cat, and a fish and they keep her laughing and busy.

Elaine Simons began working for Tessmer Law Firm in April 2015. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business Education. Prior to joining our team, Elaine worked in Sales and Marketing for 24 years. Elaine joined our team as a Receptionist and soon became a Legal Assistant.
In January 2018, she entered the Paralegal Program at UTSA and graduated with her Paralegal Certificate in December 2018. Elaine was born in New Braunfels and currently lives in Universal City, and is the proud mom of a son, who is attending college.
In her spare time, she has a pet-and-house sitting business, where she gets to enjoy one of her passions, her love for animals. Elaine enjoys reading, going to the movies and taking road trips to explore out of the way places.

Annette Vinton began working for Tessmer Law Firm in October 2018 as a Legal Assistant, moved her way up to a Paralegal, and is currently studying to become a Certified Paralegal. She has an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies. Prior to joining our team, Annette worked in Retail Sales as a Manager and Sales Representative for 11 years.
Annette is a loving Wife and Mother of two beautiful girls, she comes from a small town known as Poteet, the Strawberry Capital of Texas! During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, hiking, bike riding and watching UFC Sports.

Jacqueline Cisneros began working for Tessmer Law Firm in July 2014. Prior to this, Jacqueline worked in accounts receivable for a major collision repair center for several years.

Hannah Chalker began working for Tessmer Law Firm in October 2018. She has an Associate Degree in Business Administration from San Antonio College and is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to joining our team, she worked as an afterschool care coordinator at a small school in New Braunfels, Texas. Hannah joined our team as our Receptionist and quickly became our Billing Assistant.

Rebekah Washington began working for Tessmer Law Firm in September of 2018. Rebekah is completing her senior year of college at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She will be graduating from the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication in the Spring of 2019.
Rebekah joined our team as Heather Tessmer’s Executive Assistant and the firm’s Marketing Coordinator. Rebekah is a proud born and raised San Antonio Native. She is a dog-mom to a rescued Boston Terrier named Bean. Rebekah enjoys running, finding new and unique restaurants, and managing her fashion and lifestyle blog.
