Child Support

What you need to know about child support.

Child Support in Texas follows a formula created by the Legislature that takes into account the income and expenses of both parents and, in general, awards support to the parent who has primary custody of the children.  While there is a formula to calculate support, many issues can affect the final amounts awarded.  Financial and employment situations change, a party may marry again, have more children, or move away.

At Tessmer Law Firm, PLLC, we aid both mothers and fathers in establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support that is in the best interest of the children involved.
